Healthy Starbucks Chocolate Chip Frappucino

Whether you love coffee or you know someone who loves coffee I have a treat for you (or a treat for you to share)!! I’m sure you’ve heard that people with a Starbucks habit are usually not only damaging their waistline because of all the processed ingredients and sweeteners in their drinks but they are taking a hit on their wallets as well! Even if you are just getting two Starbucks drinks a week you probably spend almost $400 a year there! Imagine what you could do with that money if you were to save it year after year. In 5 years you could probably go on a nice vacation!!

Unfortunately I have to admit that those drinks from Starbucks do taste pretty darn good. If they were good for me and didn’t cost a fortune then I would probably be stopping by Starbucks on the daily but that’s just not the case! Well…I’ve got great news for you!

The wellness company that I partner with for my health coaching just released their cappuccino meal replacement shake mix today for a LIMITED TIME ONLY! It is made with healthy ingredients and low glycemic carbohydrates that are meant to balance your blood sugars and actually help you lose fat!

When you make a blended shake out of the mix it is meant to replace a meal and at only $3/serving you are getting a serious deal! Plus you can blend up your favorite Starbucks mix, whether it be peppermint mocha, chocolate chip or black forest cake, just by adding a few extra ingredients to the mix.

Here is my favorite healthy recipe for a Chocolate Chip Mocha Frappuccino topped with healthy Coconut Whipped Cream:

Healthy Chocolate Chip Mocha Frappuccino:

  • 1 Cup Almond milk or Flaxseed Milk
  • 3 Scoops USANA Cappuccino Nutrimeal (meal replacement mix)
  • 1 Really Large Handful of Ice
  • 1 Tblsp Cocoa Powder
  • 1 Tblsp Cocoa Nibs

Just put all ingredients in a high speed blender and mix until creamy!

Coconut Whipped Cream:

  • 1 can (14 oz) of chilled coconut cream that has been refridgerated overnight
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1-3 Tbsp powdered sugar or other sweetener of choice (honey, sugar, stevia)

Place all ingredients in a chilled mixing bowl. Use a whisk attachment to whip until light and fluffy. I like to add chocolate raw cocoa nibs on top for a nice crunch!

Enjoy this delicious treat guilt free! You are doing your wallet and your waistline a favor!
