About

Hey Everyone! My name is Paige Hilken and I live in the sunny Southern California city of San Diego. I have always been passionate about health and nutrition but I transformed my views on food a few years ago when I discovered my allergies to gluten and dairy.

My entire life I had suffered through multiple sinus infections a year, continuous bloating and stomach aches almost every night. I got to a point where I basically accepted my constant state of poor health because I didn’t know what else I needed to change about my lifestyle. I was exercising every day and consistently eating well-balanced, healthy meals. It wasn’t until my mom read a book called The G-Free Diet by Elizabeth Hasselbeck and related many of the author’s symptoms to my own that I began to think there was something wrong with my diet. Shortly after I finished this book I read The Paleo Solution by Robb Wolf, where he uncovered the science behind the concept of leaky gut and food allergies. At this point I was convinced that something I was doing was wrong. I went and got my blood tested and sure enough I was allergic to not only gluten and dairy, but many of the other foods that I was consuming on a daily basis. I cut these foods out cold turkey and four years later I haven’t been sick since. I now know that food is medicine and it can either work miracles for us or against us. I want to share my story with the world and help others discover the foods that are going to feed them and those that are going to slowly kill them. Every individual is different and I am here to help you discover the correct lifestyle for your unique situation.

A Little Bit About My Training

I graduated from Concordia University Irvine with a degree in Biological Sciences, an emphasis in Pre-Medicine. I am passionate about empowering others to become the best version of themselves possible through health, fitness and well-being. I am also a board certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and I am certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I recently completed an internship at EZIA human performance, where I learned from the best in the business how to coach others to success. I am gluten-free, dairy-free, Paleo (most of the time), an exercise fanatic, someone who loves to serve, loves to help, and most of all loves to learn. I feel like I’ve come across a few secrets to living an exciting, fulfilled life and I am here to let you in on the secrets I’ve discovered.

Going Deeper

On a different note, let me share with you a little about my other half, the man that captivates my heart every day.  Concordia is where I met my incredible, encouraging, lovely husband, Christopher. He is the pastor of the ElevenTwelve program at the amazing North Coast Church in Vista, CA. We got married on June 15, 2013 and are soaking in every opportunity that comes our way that allows us to grow closer in love with one another.  We both have a passion for helping others and sharing the love that has been poured out onto us.  Christopher pushes me every day to achieve my goals and is a huge reason why I am where I am today, ready to love others the way they are meant to be loved.

So there you have it folks. That’s me in a nutshell! I have a passion for helping others that needs to be unleashed and training people to better health is my means of doing that.
